Headline: MIP presents strategic directions of activities aimed at information space development in the framework of the Days of information society in Ukraine
In the framework of the Days of information society in 2016 Deputy
Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine Tetiana Popova took part at the annual scientific-practical
conference. The event was attended by representatives of state authorities,
local self-government bodies, public and international organizations, research
institutions and higher educational institutions of Ukraine, scientific and
pedagogical staff, postgraduate students, doctoral candidates, listeners of the
The conference is organized by the National Academy with the
support of the Swiss Confederation, the international East Europe foundation,
the Innovabridge company, Google
Ukraine, the Ukrainian-Turkish cultural center “Siayvo”(“Radiance”).
The purpose of the conference is to discuss the problems and
prospects of e-government and e-democracy at the scientific-expert level, the
development of the information society and to make appropriate recommendations
to the state administration bodies of Ukraine.
“Strategic directions of activity of the Ministry of Information
Policy of Ukraine regarding the implementation of state policy in industry of
information, communication and digital technology is the development of
Ukraine’s information space, protection of freedom of speech, the approximation
to the European standards, establishment of the system of state strategic
communications, information reintegration of the occupied Crimea and
temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk and Donetsk regions, popularization
of Ukraine and its values in the world”, said the Deputy Minister.
The participants of the conference discussed legal aspects
of information society development, globalization challenges in the context of
formation of informational society in Ukraine, considered the issues of
information security in modern conditions of Ukraines development.

conference, the recommendations for the development of information society,
e-democracy in Ukraine and e-governance were provided to state government
