Headline: The Moscow police suppressed the activities of an illegal shop for the production of adulterated alcohol

“Operatives of the ES&CC Administration of the MIA GA for the City of Moscow in cooperation with the police of the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky District detained the criminal group which had organized an illegal shop producing adulterated alcoholic products,” said the MIA official representative Irina Volk.

During the check of operational information the police had found an underground workshop in which there were 20 tons of alcohol in the blending containers, vodka in the amount of 660 bottles, alcohol in cans with a volume of 5 liters totaling 196 cans and expendables needed to ensure the full production cycle for the production of finished alcoholic beverages in volumes exceeding 50,000 bottles. Investigators also found 10,000 fake federal special stamps.

A criminal case has been initiated into the fact on grounds of the crime stipulated by Part. 4 of Art. 327.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Manufacture, sale of counterfeit excise stamps, special stamps or marks of conformity or their use”.
