“Today at 02:20 PM at the 20th km of the Shchelkovskoye highway, servicemen prevented an attack on the Road Patrol Service post. According to the preliminary information, two men with axes attempted to attack the Road Patrol Service post in the area of Balashikha of the Moscow Region. The police have already established that both of them are natives of Central Asia,” said Russian MIA official representative Irina Volk.
Employees of the Road Patrol Service repelled the armed malefactors. One of the attackers was killed immediately. The other one offered armed resistance, and then tried to flee the crime scene. The Traffic Police inspector wounded in the attack started pursuing him and killed the malefactor.
“In the course of the combat with the attackers, two employees of the Traffic Police of the Russian MIA General Administration for the Moscow Region were wounded. Professional excellence and correct actions of the inspectors enabled to prevent victims among civilians,” Irina Volk added.
“The policemen who killed the armed attackers will be nominated for awards for their correct and decisive actions,” Irina Volk said.
