Headline: POLITICO LAUNCHES PRO TRANSPORT COVERAGE
POLITICO’s European edition, a joint venture between POLITICO and Axel Springer SE, announced today the launch of Pro Transport, its paid real-time news service for policy professionals and the seventh policy area launched by POLITICO Pro’s European newsroom in one year.
As part of this coverage expansion, POLITICO launched today Morning Transport, a daily morning newsletter written by reporter Joshua Posaner and sent each weekday after 7 a.m. CET. The newsletter, with a launch audience of 8,000, will focus on the intersection of transport policy, politics and infrastructure and the interplay between member countries, the EU and the rest of Europe—as well as the rest of the world. To sign up for the newsletter, please click here. This newsletter is offered on a trial basis until Pro Transport launches its complete suite of offerings on November 14.
In addition to Pro Transport, the Pro news service spans six coverage areas: Agriculture & Food, Energy, Financial Services, Health Care, Technology and Trade. Additional services and products are expected to launch in late 2016 and early 2017.
Since its September 2015 launch, POLITICO Pro has built a subscription base of tens of thousands of European policy professionals from hundreds of subscriber organizations, including government institutions, corporations, consultancies, associations and NGOs, in more than 20 countries. Pro subscription rates are based on the subscriber organization’s number of users and number of policy areas.
“Pro Transport marks yet another milestone in our strategy to build the most robust and essential news service for professional stakeholders of European policy. At launch, we set ambitious goals for Pro’s first-year sales and renewal rates. The entire team is thrilled that we’ve exceed both benchmarks and have received such positive feedback from the market,” said Dari Gessner, executive director of POLITICO Pro.
“From global trade negotiations and the Italian banking crisis to glyphosates, emission regulation and tech competition cases, our teams continue to provide the best coverage of the major policy debates shaping the Continent. Our agenda-setting newsletters, up-to-the-minute alerts for Pros and exclusive behind-the-scenes enterprise reporting have allowed our community of subscribers what they need – fast-moving, decisive and authoritative news and insight. We’re excited to build on this editorial success with our growing transport policy team,” added Pro Editor Nirvi Shah.
