Headline: Delegation of MIA for Kalmyk Republic visited People’s Republic of China
The delegation of the Kalmyk police headed by Minister of Internal Affairs for the Kalmyk Republic Andrey Mishagin arrived to the People’s Republic of China on a three-day working trip.
In Beijing, the official delegation was welcomed by representatives of the Public Security Department for the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of the PRC who had earlier visited the Kalmyk Republic.
Within the meeting, representatives of the Chinese police shared their positive experience with Russian colleagues in combating terrorism, separatism, extremism, illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs, firearms, ammunition, and other transnational crimes, in safety protection during mass public events.
A particular focus was put on operations of the Information Center whose employees exercise online control over video cameras in Beijing. Information about a crime, an administrative violation or a complaint is immediately transmitted to the nearest police squad to take appropriate measures.
The Minister of Internal Affairs for the Kalmyk Republic thanked the Chinese colleagues for the hospitality and emphasized that the results of that meeting would be a solid basis for strengthening further cooperation between the two police agencies. He expressed his hope that the cooperation would promote the potential of the collaboration, particularly as regards the exchange of information and practical experience in combating various types of crimes.
