The official ceremony of presentation of epaulettes to top officers took place in the Russian MIA.
Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation General of the Police of the Russian Federation Vladimir Kolokoltsev congratulated the chiefs of territorial internal affairs bodies, divisions of the Russian MIA Headquarters and the Ministry’s educational institutions who were awarded with special promotion ranks of higher commanding officers and presented them epaulettes.
Special ranks of higher commanding officers were awarded to 13 officers of the Russian MIA on the eve of the Russia Day subject to the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation. “That decision made by the President reflects high appraisal of the performance of our colleagues and the staff under their command, as well as of the Ministry in general,” stressed the Chief of the Russian MIA.
Vladimir Kolokoltsev noted that the Ministry is to fulfill challenging and responsible tasks, including ensuring citizens’ safety and protection of law and order during the coming large-scale sports events. Besides, people expect the police to take decisive measures for corruption eradication and street crime reduction.
“I firmly believe that each of you in his position will continue giving his best efforts, knowledge and experience to properly fulfill our duties. And the awarded high ranks will strengthen deserved authority that you have. You will bear them with dignity and honor as required by the Oath, professional and civil duty,” said the Minister.
At the end of the ceremonial event, Vladimir Kolokoltsev wished the chiefs of the divisions robust health, endless energy and further success in their service to the Motherland.
