Headline: Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus O.Kravchenko participates in the OSCE Mediterranean Conference
On October 24-25, 2017 in Palermo, Italy the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Oleg Kravchenko, participted in the OSCE Mediterranean Conference.
The Head of Belarus’ delegation made a statement as a key-note speaker at the special session “Countering smuggling and trafficking in human beings: a major common challenge in time of large movements of migrants and refugees”. In his speach, O.Kravchenko presented anti-trafficking efforts of Belarus in international relations and cooperation while stressing the necessity of measures aimed at combatting the demand, including at the national level.
Within the framework of the Conference, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus met with the Executive Director of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, Director-General of the UN Office at Vienna, Yury Fedotov, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy, Enzo Amendola, the Deputy Federal Minister for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs of Austria, Michael Linhart, as well as with а number of other high-ranking representatives of the OSCE participating States, during which the parties discussed bilateral cooperation and interaction within the OSCE.
