In Chelyabinsk police officers seized from illegal trafficking about five kilograms of heroin

Operatives of the Administration for Drug Control of the MIA of Russia GA for the Chelyabinsk Region as a result of the measures taken in the regional center on the Meridian highway detained a “Lada” car driver born in 1976, with whom they found and seized about 600 grams of heroin.
In the course of further work, the police officers located a cache with a similar narcotic. Inside the cache the guards of order also discovered about 600 grams of heroin. During a search at the detainee’s place of residence, the police seized 3 kilograms and 700 grams of the same powdered drug, packaged in six plastic bundles. Thus, the total weight of heroin seized by the police officers was about five kilograms.
The Investigative Administration of the MIA of Russia Administration for Chelyabinsk has opened a criminal case on the fact of illegal drug trafficking, under part 3 of Article 30, part 4 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The maximum punishment in this part of the article is up to twenty years of imprisonment. Previously, the man was brought to criminal responsibility for the use of a forged document (part 3 of Article 327 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). At present, the court selected for the suspect a preventive measure in the form of remand in custody.
