The day before, at about 00:00 AM, the duty unit of Police Division “Novobaydaevsky” of the Russian MIA Administration for Novokuznetsk received a complaint from a resident of a multifamily building about too loud music at her neighbor’s apartment on the 6th floor. Having arrived at the reported address, officers of the Patrol and Inspection Service found out that smoke was coming out from the man’s flat and that smoky odor was spreading all over the communal hall. Loud music from the apartment could still be heard, but after knocking nobody opened the entrance door. Residents of the house were sure that the owner of the flat was inside. Policemen reported smoke to the rescue service and then went to check whether the man was actually inside the flat.
Using a fire escape, driver of a detached battalion of the Patrol and Inspection Service Junior Police Sergeant Vladislav Solovyov descended from the 7th floor to the balcony on the 6th floor and entered the smoke-logged apartment. The owner was unconscious in the room. The officer of the Patrol and Inspection Service carried the man out at the stair landing and brought him to consciousness before doctors arrived. Meanwhile, policeman of a detached battalion of the Patrol and Inspection Service Police Sergeant Evgeny Smetanin eliminated the source of smoke.
The health of the 40-year old resident of Novokuznetsk is now safe. The man and his neighbors thanked the policemen for the help and expressed appreciation to them for not only helping the man to get out of the smoke-logged apartment, but also for preventing potential fire in the multifamily building.
