Residents of Troitskoye village applied to the duty-unit of the MIA of Russia Division for the Omsky District. The attention of villagers was attracted by an unknown lonely elderly man, who was staying for a long time at one of the houses.
Guards of law and order arrived at the specified address. Police officers found out that the 86-year-old citizen living in the Kemerovo Region, had been missing for more than a month and was on the list of missing persons. The pensioner said that he had left home in June, walking along the M-51 highway, where he had been given a lift by trucks several times. Once in the Omsk Region, the man slept under the open sky. Sometimes indifferent Omsk residents assisted the elderly person with food and clothes.
The police informed the relatives about the whereabouts of their grandfather. In the evening of the same day, the guards of law and order helped to acquire the necessary documents for the purchase of a train ticket and accompanied the pensioner to the coupe.
Already this morning at the station of the city of Anzhero-Sudzhensk the grandfather was met by his relatives and friends.
