Officers of the ES&CC Administration of the MIA of Russia GA for the Moscow Region, together with colleagues from the MIA of Russia Inter-district Administration “Schelkovskoye” stopped the activities of a shop manufacturing counterfeit perfumery products.
It was established that the illegal shop was located on the territory of a poultry farm. When inspecting the premises, the police found equipment for the production, bottling and packaging of counterfeit perfumery products, as well as a warehouse with finished products allegedly of known world brands. The found perfumes had signs of forgery, namely: poor-quality packaging, blurred bar codes, poor cardboard quality and lack of stickers in Russian, which were mandatory for the sale of imported products on the territory of the Russian Federation.
In total, as a result of the operation, about 20,000 bottles with falsified perfumes, about 1.5 thousand liters of alcohol, more than 100,000 empty bottles, as well as necessary accessories used to make fake perfumes were found and seized by policemen. The seized products were transferred to the custody of an authorized organization.
The damage to the rightholder companies exceeded 60 million rubles.
A criminal case was initiated on the grounds of the crime provided for in Art. 180 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Illegal use of means of individualization of goods”. The sanction of the article provides for a punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to two years at maximum.
Currently, police officers are carrying out a set of activities aimed at identifying the organizers of the illegal activities, as well as the places of sale of counterfeit goods.
