“Operatives of the MIA of Russia GA for Drug Control and the Division for Drug Control of the Internal Affairs Administration for the Central Administrative District of the MIA of Russia GA for Moscow together with the FSB of Russia detained a 28-year-old previously convicted man on suspicion of attempting to sell narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances on a large scale,” said the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk.
It was established, that the man was to receive an international mailing in one of the post offices of the capital. The investigation showed that the parcel contained narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances with a total mass of over 500 grams, including MDMA, ketamine and cocaine. They were intended for further sale through caches.
“The Investigation unit of the MIA of Russia Division for the Basmanny District initiated a criminal case on the grounds of the crime provided for in Articles 30 and 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. With regard to the defendant, the court has chosen a preventive measure in the form of remand in custody,” added Irina Volk.
