“The report of the incident reached the desk of the operational duty officer of the MIA of Russia Division for the Alagirsky District of the North Ossetia-Alania about 3 o’clock in the afternoon. A local resident told that the boy who had come to visit him together with his mother played in the yard, and after a while disappeared. Relatives told the man that the boy had problems with hearing and hardly spoke.
Mother and neighbors tried to find the child on their own but failed. The family turned for help to the police,” said the official representative of the MIA of Russia Irina Volk.
“All the personnel of the district police division were promptly involved in the search for the missing boy. Search groups of police officers, representatives of various law enforcement agencies, district administration, rangers, Cossacks and volunteers were created. Night search became even more difficult because of weather conditions – a two-hour rain fell on the city. The police managed to find the child about five o’clock in the morning in a remote part of the forest. He was very frightened and asked for water. The staff immediately took the child to the hospital, where he was provided with the necessary assistance. Now his health is in no danger,” added Irina Volk.
