Police officers revealed a series of thefts from trading pavilions in Krasnodar

The MIA of Russia Administration in the city of Krasnodar for several months was receiving reports on theft of property from local trade pavilions and shops. The total damage to the victims exceeded 1 million 200 thousand rubles. On the facts of theft, a number of criminal cases were initiated on the grounds of crimes provided for in Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Theft”.
From the seized records of CCTV cameras located in the premises of retail outlets, the police found that two men were involved in the theft. Orientations for the search and detention of the suspects were sent to all police crews. In one of the streets of the city, police patrol officers detained a young man who in appearance matched the description of one of the wanted persons and delivered him to a police division for further investigation.
The suspect turned to be a previously convicted for illegal possession of drugs and deliberate infliction of serious harm to health, 30-year-old resident of a neighboring country who had arrived in Krasnodar two years ago with a view to finding a job. It was established that the visitor and his accomplice, after breaking open the shutters and smashing stained glass windows, penetrated into trade outlets, stole tobacco and chocolate products and disappeared. It was also established that the visitors were involved in the theft of cameras and mobile phones from a pawnshop.
At present, the investigation of earlier initiated criminal cases continues. With respect to the suspect, a preventive measure in the form of remand in custody was chosen. The police conduct a complex of operational and search activities aimed at locating and detaining the second suspect in committing the series of thefts from trading pavilions in Krasnodar.
