“Officers of the MIA of Russia GA for Economic Security and Combatting the Corruption, together with colleagues from the Ulyanovsk Region, with power support from Rosgvardia, suppressed the illegal activities of managers of an organization suspected of manufacturing and selling surrogate motor fuel,” reported the official representative of the Russian MIA Irina Volk.
According to the available information, the offenders received permission only for storage and heating of furnace oil. Processing of raw materials in the form of gasoline and diesel fuel was carried out without a license for this activity. The received raw materials were illegally sold on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Samara Region.
The total amount of the illegal income received by the participants in unlawful activities exceeded 200 million rubles.
Based on the revealed facts, investigators of the MIA of Russia Administration for the Ulyanovsk Region initiated a criminal case under part 2 of Article 171 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
Investigative actions and operational-search measures to decriminalize the sphere of the fuel and energy complex continue.
