Today in Murmansk, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Chief of the Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Lieutenant-General of Justice Aleksandr Romanov, introduced to the leadership and personnel of the MIA of Russia Administration for the Murmansk Region, the new Chief, Colonel of Police Vitaly Zaikov, appointed by the Presidential Decree of August 28, 2018.
The event was attended by the Governor of the Region Marina Kovtun and heads of law enforcement bodies of the region.
Aleksandr Romanov noted that during the years of service in the internal affairs bodies Vitaly Zaikov has passed a long way of professional development and has accumulated considerable experience. The Deputy Minister wished the new Chief of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Murmansk Region success in his official activities and expressed confidence that the available potential would be used to the maximum in ensuring law, order and security in the northern region.
Vitaly Zaikov expressed gratitude for the trust. Addressing the staff, he focused on the need for strict compliance with the law in the official activity and on the personal responsibility for the assigned area of work.
For reference:
Zaikov, Vitaly Nikolaevich was born on May 8, 1974 in the village of Piaozersky, in the Loukhsky District.
In 2000 he graduated from the St. Petersburg University of the MIA of Russia.
Since 1994, he worked in the Criminal Investigation unit of the Internal Affairs Division for the Loukhsky District of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Karelia. Since 2000 he has been serving in commanding positions. In 2005, he was appointed to the position of the Chief of the MIA Division for the Loukhsky District of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Karelia, in 2007 – to the position of the Chief of the Division of Internal Affairs in the city of Kostomuksha.
From 2009 to 2011, he headed the Criminal Investigation Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Karelia. In June 2011, he was appointed deputy chief of police for operational work of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Karelia.
In 2014 Vitaly Nikolaevich was appointed to the position of Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs – Chief of police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Karelia.
By the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of August 28, 2018, Vitaly Nikolaevich Zaikov was appointed to the position of the Chief of the MIA of Russia Administration for the Murmansk Region.
Awarded the badge “For loyalty to duty”, medals “For distinction in service” of three degrees, awarded the honorary title “Honored Officer of Law Enforcement Bodies of the Republic of Karelia”.
