“Investigators of the MIA of Russia GA for the Moscow Region initiated a criminal case under parts 1 and 2 of Article 209 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation against the leader and active participants of a stable armed group suspected of committing attacks on private households of citizens,” said the official representative of the Russian MIA Irina Volk.
Earlier, in June of last year, in the city of Vidnoye, the Moscow Region, offenders, having penetrated the territory of a country house and threatening the victims with guns, stole an expensive car and cash to a total of about 5 million rubles.
The Investigation Administration of the MIA of Russia Administration for the Leninskiy District of the Moscow Region initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime provided for in part 4 of Article 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
As a result of operational search activities, officers of the MIA of Russia GA for Criminal Investigation, together with the Criminal Investigation Administration of the MIA of Russia GA for the Moscow Region, detained four suspects in the city of Moscow and the Ivanovo Region. All of them were natives of Central Asia aged from 28 to 33.
During searches at the place of residence of the suspects, two loaded pistols without serial numbers, a 12-mm smooth-bore gun, two laptops, a large number of mobile phones and SIM cards, as well as personal belongings allegedly stolen from the victims were found and seized.
“Currently, circumstances of 4 attacks on private households of citizens committed by the offenders using firearms have been established. The preliminary material damage amounted to 6 million rubles. The preliminary investigation bodies of the of the MIA of Russia GA for the Moscow Region initiated a criminal case on the grounds of the crime provided for by part 1 and part 2 of Article 209 of the criminal code of the Russian Federation,” added Irina Volk.
For the alleged organizer of the gang and its members, the court selected a preventive measure in the form of remand in custody.
