Police officers of the MIA of Russia Administration for the Kolomensky Urban District detained two natives of a Central Asian country aged 21 and 26 who were suspected of a series of robbery attacks.
It was established that the attackers, being on a highway near the village of Ilyinskoe, attacked the driver of a car – a 33-year-old resident of the Ramensky District. Threatening with a knife, the offenders stole money, two mobile phones and the foreign-made car belonging to the victim. The material damage amounted to about 1 million rubles.
The police established as well the involvement of the suspects in the unlawful acts committed in the village of Kolodkino. The offenders, threatening with a knife and causing bodily harm, stole a mobile phone, a tablet and money from the man.
Criminal investigation officers of the MIA of Russia Administration as a result of operational search activities identified and detained the offenders at their place of temporary residence in the Kolomensky Urban District. Not far from the crime scene, the operatives found the stolen foreign-made car, which was returned to the owner.
A criminal case under Article 162 “Robbery” of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation has been initiated on this fact by the Investigation Administration of the MIA of Russia Administration. The sanction of this article provides for a punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 15 years.
Placement to custody was selected as the preventive measure for the suspects.
Operative and search measures aimed at identifying additional episodes of the suspects’ criminal activity are underway.
