I cordially congratulate the chiefs, staff and veterans of the personnel units on the day of the formation of the Personnel Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
The activity of the service is inextricably linked with the history of our ministry because at all times the effectiveness of the fight against crime depended directly on the quality of work with the personnel, their selection, training, education and placement.
One hundred years ago, in 1918, after the breakdown of the previous law enforcement system and the formation of the workers’ and peasants’ militia, the personnel service acquired a form that structurally and functionally resembled the modern one.
For many decades, the staff of these units, characterized by the highest professionalism, rich professional and life experience, devoted to their fatherland and their work, step by step created the powerful personnel potential of the Ministry.
Today, human resources specialists successfully perform tasks of staffing internal affairs bodies, providing moral and psychological support for operational activities, organizing the professional training for the staff, and strengthening discipline and legality in MIA teams.
Care for the veterans, family members of our comrades who died in the performance of their duties is always in the focus of their attention.
I express my sincere gratitude to the chiefs and all the staff of the personnel units for their good faith, exceptional reliability and high competence shown in the performance of the tasks set.
I wish you all health, happiness, prosperity and success in the service for the good of the fatherland!
Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation
