“Officers of the MIA of Russia GA for Criminal Investigation, together with colleagues from the Tula and Tver regions, detained a suspect in deliberate causing of serious harm to health, resulting in the death of the victim. The crime was committed in the Zaoksky District of the Tula Region more than 10 years ago,” said the official representative of the Russian MIA Irina Volk.
In 2008, a young woman with body injuries was found near a cafe on the bank of the Oka River. The police found that a local resident was involved in the crime, but his detention did not take place because he fled from the investigation and was put on the international wanted list.
“As a result of the operational-search activities, the suspect was detained by the police in the city of Andreapol. Within several years, the man changed his appearance, grew a mustache and a beard. Currently, he has been taken to the Tula Region for investigative actions,” Irina Volk noted.
