In the course of conducting operational-search measures aimed at identifying the persons involved in the sale of narcotic drugs through “caches”, the staff of the Drug Control Administration of the MIA of Russia Administration in the Khanty-Mansiysky Autonomous District – Ugra together with colleagues from the MIA of Russia Division in Nefteyugansk detained a man and a woman involved in organizing the distribution of synthetic drugs.
A 48-year-old resident of Surgut was detained by operatives at the moment of distributing narcotic drugs in a no-contact way. The man managed to make more than three caches. During the inspection of the territory, law enforcement officers found and seized 75 convolutions with a powdery substance. The mistress of the suspect tried to escape, but was detained by law enforcement officers at the exit of the city. During the inspection of the vehicle and personal belongings of the 45-year-old woman, the police found and seized 150 convolutions with a similar content. In addition, during the search of the garage, 900 convolutions with prohibited substances were seized from the offenders.
The results of chemical research showed that the seized substance was a synthetic drug with a total weight of over three kilograms.
It was established that the suspects have established in the Internet contacts with unknown persons who have offered them to “earn” money by distributing narcotic drugs through “caches”.
Placement to custody was selected as the preventive measure against the suspect. Criminal cases under part 3 of Article 30, parts 4 and 5 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Attempted sale of drugs on a large and large scale” were initiated.
