MIA of Russia gives a start to the social action “New Year Patrol”

“Today, the ‘MIA Joint Editorial Board’ together with the Administration for Public Relations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, is launching the charity motor rally ‘New Year Patrol’. Officers of internal affairs bodies and journalists of the radio station ‘Militia Wave’ in a specially designed vehicle will travel through several cities, visit children’s homes, and also a rehabilitation center for disabled.
The policemen will give gifts, talk with the pupils of children’s centers, with retirees in a nursing home and will talk about specific features of their service.
The action has been organized with the support of MIA of Russia territorial bodies. The rally will pass through such cities as Kovrov, Yegoryevsk, Tver, Murom and Moscow.
The goal of the action is to bring New Year’s mood to those who especially need care and warm attitude on the eve of the holidays, and to draw public attention to the problems of the least protected citizens – children and the elderly, to remind people of the importance of supporting each other in a difficult situation,” said the official representative of the Russian MIA Irina Volk.
