Police detained a suspect in an attempted stealing of money from a donation box in one of the churches in the West of Moscow

“Police precinct officers of the MIA of Russia Division for the Ramenki District of Moscow detained a 37-year-old local resident suspected of attempted theft of money from the Church of the Life-Giving Trinity on the Mosfilmovskaya Street,” said the Russian MIA Spokesperson Irina Volk.
A man contacted the police and said that an offender was pulling money out of the donation box using a wire wrapped in duct tape.
The suspect in the crime was detained at the scene by the police precinct officer.
The investigative unit of the MIA of Russia Division for the Ramenki District of Moscow initiated a criminal case on the grounds of the crime provided for in Articles 30 and 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The preventive measure selected against the suspect was a subscription on his own recognizance.
