Vladimir Morozov, Head of Belarusian Railway signed a loan agreement in Beiging

Belarusian Railway and the Export-Import bank of China signed a 65.7 million loan agreement. This document was signed as part of Vladimir Morozov’s visit the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (Beiging, April 25-27). The funds will be destined to finance the project Electrification of Homiel—Žlobin—Asipovičy and Žlobin—Kalinkavičy sections, 3rd stage. Žlobin—Kalinkavičy section.
Of the 1228 km of rail track in Belarus 22,5% is electrified. Belarusian Railway completed the electrification of Homiel—Žlobin—Asipovičy, Maladziečna—Gudogai—Lithuanian state border railway section. It is planned to electrificate more than 60 km each year.
The electrification of Žlobin—Kalinkavičy railway section will be completed before the end of 2020. Ultimately the total electrified route length is expected to be 25%.
Vladimir Morozov also took part in the thematic forum on Infrastructure Connectivity, met with administrations of CUEC and CRRC companies.
Today, more than 30 Chinese electric freight locomotives operating on Belarusian Railway.

Па паведамленні АТ «Укрзалізныця» з 00 гадзін 27 красавіка 2019 года павялічваецца кошт праезду пасажыраў у міжнародных зносінах па тэрыторыі Украіны з краінамі СНД, Грузіі, Латвійскай Рэспублікай, Літоўскай Рэспублікай і Эстонскай Рэспублікай.
У сувязі з гэтым агульны кошт праезду ў міжнародных зносінах Рэспубліка Беларусь—Украіна павялічыцца на 16-29% у залежнасці ад адлегласці накіравання пасажыраў па тэрыторыі Украіны і абранай катэгорыі вагонаў для паездкі.
Так, напрыклад, кошт праезду ў фірменным цягніку №86 Мінск—Кіеў у купэйным вагоне (без рацыёну харчавання) павялічыцца на 16%, або 20,72 рубля і складзе 154,35 рубля, у плацкартным вагоне — на 16%, або 13,07 рубля і складзе 95,99 рубля. Кошт праезду ў хуткім цягніку №94 Мінск—Адэса ў купэйным вагоне павялічыцца на 29%, або 54,80 рубля і складзе 243,74 рубля, у плацкартным вагоне — на 29%, або 34,63 рубля і складзе 153,72 рубля.

Belarusian Railway will transport freight from Vietnam to Belarus

April 8-12, a delegation of Belarusian Railway is taking part in the 34th Conference of General directors (authorized representatives) of OSJD Railways in Seoul (Republic of Korea).
April 11, 1st Deputy Head of Belarusian Railway Igor Shilov met with the deputy director general of Vietnam Railways to discuss freight delivery by rail from Vietnam to Europe, including to Belarus.
During the meeting the Belintertrans Transport-Logistics Center of Belarusian Railway and the Rail transportation and trading company Retraco (a subsidiary of Vietnam Railways) established long-term transport and logistics contacts with the aim of implementation of future-oriented projects on freight transportation on the Asia—Europe—Asia direction, including the use of the transport and logistics center Kaliadzičy.
The transport and logistics center Kaliadzičy is a leading hub for processing large-tonnage containers and heavy cargoes. The terminal is basically a dry port, where a single technological process unites warehouses, auxiliary premises, road and rail access roads, and open storage areas for containers.

The Belarusian Railway will take part in International railway congress in Vienna

March 18-19, 2019 International railway congress “One world. One rail.“ will held in the Austrian capital Vienna.
Taking part in the meeting were administration of international railway organizations, Austrian Ministry of transport, business leaders and experts, suppliers and clients.
The congress is devoted to the issues of improving the efficiency of international freight and passenger rail traffic including digital technologies, using and developing the transit potential of existing international transport corridors in East—West—East direction.
The Head of the Belarusian Railway will hold the speech “One Belt, One Road. Improving international connectivity and cooperation.
The Belarusian Railway has been working to develop container transportation in East—West direction. In 2018, the Belarusian Railway transported 387, 3 th TEU containers in West—East—West direction (1,3 more than in 2017) .
The Belarusian Railway has great potential to increase the volume of freight transportation through Belarusian—Polish border checkpoints. It plans to resume cargo delivery through the border checkpoint Vysoko-Litovsk—Cheremcha in the nearest future.

Belintertrans — Transport-Logistics Center (BTLC) of the Belarusian Railway is implementing a new project — a regular container train in Belarus—Romania direction. The BTLC partners are Rail Cargo Logistics d.o.o. (Slovenia) and Zakhid Trans Service transport company (Ukraine).
The new container train carrying wood products departed from Hancavičy railway station on the 5th of March. The train comprises of 124 containers on 31 special well cars. For such transportation it is required to use Open Top containers with increased capacity.
One of the main advantages of this new project is speed of delivery — 39 hours. The expected volume of transportation is 120,000 tons of freight in 2019.
Igor Shylov, 1st Deputy Head of the Belarusian Railway, representatives of BTLC administration, project representatives from Slovenia and Ukraine took part in official ceremony.
In 2019, the Belarusian Railway plans to launch new export train projects. The Belarusian Railway, in cooperation with Russian and Azerbaijan rail operators, is working on a new container transportation project Minsk—Baku. This project will allow deliver Belarusian products to Azerbaijan in 7 days and at competitive rates.

Preparations for the 2nd European Games are under the way

The Belarusian Railway has developed a timetable for trains in Minsk—Masiukoŭščyna—Belarus direction to take fans to the 2nd European Games venues Minsk Arena and Rowing Canal in Zaslauje.
An additional 57 trains will operate in Minsk— Masiukoŭščyna—Belarus direction during the period from 22 to 30 June (32 city line and 25 regional economy class trains).
As many as 62 trains will transport fans back to the Minsk Pasažyrski railway station (38 city line and 24 regional economy class trains).
In cooperation with the Belarusian Association of Transport Experts and Surveyors, the Belarusian Railway checked navigation and passenger information systems at the Minsk Pasažyrski and Belarus railway stations, and also the Masiukoŭščyna and Minsk Paŭnočny stopping points. To make navigation in rail transport facilities easier for passengers the information system has been developed, both in terms of content and placement.

Bilateral talks will take place in Riga

A working meeting will take place between the Head of the Belarusian Railway Vladimir Morozov and  President of Latvian Railways Edwin Berzinš 14-15 of February in Riga.
The heads of the rail companies will discuss the 2018 activities and results, as well as long-term development plans.
The heads of railway administrations will pay attention to the importance of the development of international railway freight transportation in Belarus—Latvia direction. The sides will discuss how to upgrade express rail freight service Minsk—Riga—Minsk. They also will continue to form a cargo base for the project.
During the meeting the sides will discuss the results of work on passengers transportation between Belarus—Latvia in 2018 and prospects of its development in 2019. Special attention will be paid to 2nd European Games in Minsk.
Passenger transportation in Belarus—Latvia direction is carried out by train №87/88. It runs between Minsk and Riga every other day.
The volume of passenger transportation accounted 17,6 ths or 116,7% more than in 2017.

Business meeting of railway administration heads — members of the UTLC ERA project was held in Moscow

The Head of the Belarusian Railway took part in a business meeting of railway administration heads — members of the UTLC ERA project. This meeting was held on 28 of January in Moscow.
The business meeting has taken place between the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Russian Railways Oleg Belozerov, the Chairman of the Board of JSC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy National Company Sauat Mynbayev, United Transport and Logistics Company – Eurasian Rail Alliance (UTLC ERA) president Aleksei Grom. The meeting dedicated to summing up the working results of UTLC ERA in 2018, as well as long-term development plans.
The volume of transit freight transportation serviced by UTLC ERA in China—EU—China direction was 273,7 th TEU, 156% compared to 2017.
The Belarusian Railway has been working to develop the terminal infrastructure on the Belarusian—Polish border, to redistribute container flows and to set up new routes for container trains.
The Belarusian company is actively developing infrastruction of Bruzgi station (Bruzgi—Kuznica Bialostocka border checkpoint) and Svisloch station (Svisloch—Siemianowka border chechpoint).
The Belarusian Railway has great potential to increase the volume of freight transportation through Belarusian-Polish border checkpoints. It plans to resume cargo delivery through the border checkpoint Vysoko-Litovsk—Cheremcha in 2019.

The Belarusian Railway will continue implement digital technologies as from 10 Desember

The Belarusian Railway in cooperation with the railway administrations of Latvia and Russia will start using digital transit documents of empty privately owned railway cars moving between the three countries as from 10 December.
Instead of hardcopy documents digital SMGS consignment note will be used.
A 1520mm gauge railway connecting Russia—Belarus—Russia’s Kaliningrad Oblast was the first direction to start using digital transit documents in December 2016.
The Belarusian Railway stressed that the introduction of digital paperless technologies for freight transportation is a priority in the development of the company. The Belarusian Railway is intent on enabling comfortable, attractive, and competitive conditions for transporting cargoes of its clients and will continue the policy of switching all the transportation procedures to digital rails.
